Katie Lawlor
Founder and owner
Katie began babysitting at the age of 13 and later pursued her Level 8 in Early Childhood Care and Education at Tralee IT. Since then, she has gained valuable experience working in several creches.
In addition to her childcare experience, Katie has worked as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) and has experience working with both children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Clodagh Moloney
Manager
Clodagh holds a BA in Early Years Childhood Studies, along with a QQI Level 6 qualification in Childcare and QQI Level 5 and Level 6 qualifications in Special Education.
With over eight years of childminding experience, including time spent working as an au pair. Clodagh brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to her role.
Alongside her work at Auntie Katie's, Clodagh also works in a crèche and provides childcare at weddings, giving her extensive experience caring for children in a variety of settings.
In addition to her childcare roles, Clodagh manages Auntie Katie's social media platforms, helping to keep our families and wider community connected, informed, and engaged.
Aoife Ryng
Aoife has been with us since 2023 and has already completed numerous weddings, all receiving glowing 5-star reviews!
She holds an honors BA in Early Childhood Studies and has a true passion for working with children.
Additionally, Aoife is Montessori certified and holds a FETAC Level 5 qualification.
She’s also trained in pediatric first aid, ensuring the utmost care for every child.
When she’s not caring for little ones, Aoife loves to travel, explore new countries, and unwind with a good book.
Shannon Lewis
Shannon holds a Level 8 First Class Honor's degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and a First Class Honor's degree in Leadership for Inclusion, both from Mary Immaculate College.
With previous experience in creches, preschool, and toddlers, Shannon has also taken on room leader roles. She brings over 10 years of babysitting experience, with a deep passion for working with children, especially inspired by her two young brothers, both of whom have ASD.
Shannon is currently a home tuition tutor for children with ASD and is dedicated to all things inclusion and additional needs. She is also pursuing a master’s in Primary Teaching to further expand her expertise.
Kathryn Martin
Kathryn has 8 and a half year experience working with children and adults with ASD and Intellectual disabilities.
She is also a swim teacher for children and has been with Auntie Katie's since January.
Kathryn is first aid trained and has completed Lámh level 1.
In her spare time Kathryn loves to care for her many animals and travel.
Laura Smyth
Laura is from Co. Galway and has over 10 years experience working in a creche with various age groups from 6 months to 12 years old.
She holds both Level 5 and 6 certifications in childcare.
Laura also has first aid training, a Level 1 Lamh certification.
Amy Ryan
Amy holds a Level 7 degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and is currently completing her Level 8 degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, both with Portobello Institute.
She has been working in a crèche setting for the past six years and has experience working with a variety of age groups. She began her career as a Room Leader in the toddler room before moving into preschool, where she has worked for the past four years and currently holds the position of Room Leader.
Amy also has experience working with children of all ages through babysitting. She has always had a passion for working with children and loves watching them learn, develop and grow.
She is also qualified in First Aid and is committed to providing children with a safe, caring and enjoyable environment.
Niamh Curry
Niamh has 13 years of experience caring for children as a childminder and babysitter. She spent three years working in a private international school in the Middle East, teaching children at KG2 and Grade 1 level.
Having returned to Ireland in 2016 to complete her Master’s in Primary Education, Niamh has continued to work as a primary school teacher and remains passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Niamh loves to travel and explore new places.
Siobhan Shinnick
Siobhán holds a Level 8 qualification in Primary Education and Psychology. She has completed accredited training in Lámh, First Aid, and Children First, equipping her with key skills to support children's development and safety.
Siobhán brings a wide range of experience to her role, having worked as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA), primary school teacher, and babysitter. She is currently working in a naíonra.
Outside of work, Siobhán enjoys traveling, reading, and sea swimming, and brings her calm and curious nature into everything she does.
Anita Sheahan
Anita began working in childcare in 2014, starting out in a crèche environment before going on to run two preschool rooms. She holds a Level 8 degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from MTU and has valuable experience supporting children with additional needs.
Anita is also a fully accredited Level 9 psychotherapist and counsellor working in private practice. This gives her a deep understanding of child development and emotional wellbeing, helping her create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for the children she cares for on your big day.
Abbie Dorney
Abbie is currently studying Early Years and Childhood Studies at UCC and works as a Montessori Assistant. She has two years of experience working with children across a variety of settings, including leading birthday parties and camps, as well as volunteering in the Children’s Ward at CUH.
Passionate about supporting children in their development, Abbie is dedicated to creating a safe, fun and welcoming environment where every child feels comfortable, valued and encouraged to thrive.
Outside of work and her studies, Abbie enjoys travelling and keeping active through health and fitness.
Katie O Leary
Katie is currently studying Social Studies at University College Cork and works as a Montessori Assistant. She has been coaching rugby to children aged 2–5 since 2021, giving her valuable experience creating fun, active and engaging experiences for young children.
Katie has also gained experience supporting children with additional needs through her placement with Enable Ireland. She has a genuine passion for working with children and takes great pride in creating a positive, welcoming and encouraging environment where every child feels supported, included and happy.
Ciara Jones
Ciara is a qualified QQI Level 6 Special Needs Assistant who currently works as an SNA. She has many years of experience caring for children and, while living in Canada, worked professionally as a nanny.
Ciara is warm, caring and dependable, with a genuine passion for working with children. She takes pride in creating a fun, engaging and safe environment where children feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Her caring nature, experience and dedication allow her to build positive relationships with children and provide them with the support, encouragement and care they need.
Julie Dunne
Julie holds a QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Learning and Care and has a genuine passion for working with children. She has been providing childminding care since 2020, alongside experience in preschool settings.
As a proud mammy herself, Julie understands the importance of creating a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel happy, valued and cared for. She loves filling each day with play, cuddles, chats, fun and encouragement, while giving children the opportunity to learn and explore at their own pace.
Julie’s aim is to provide a warm, home-from-home experience where every child feels secure, supported and able to make lots of happy memories.
