Katie Lawlor
Founder and owner
Katie began babysitting at the age of 13 and later pursued her Level 8 in Early Childhood Care and Education at Tralee IT. Since then, she has gained valuable experience working in several creches.
In addition to her childcare experience, Katie has worked as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA) and has experience working with both children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities.

Clodagh Moloney
Manager
Clodagh holds a Level 6 qualification in childcare and a Level 5 in special education.
She is currently pursuing her Level 7 in childcare to further enhance her expertise.
With over 8 years of childminding experience, including time spent working as an au pair, Clodagh brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.
She also manages the social media for Auntie Katie’s, ensuring our community stays connected and informed.

Aoife Ryng
Aoife has been with us since 2023 and has already completed numerous weddings, all receiving glowing 5-star reviews!
She holds an honors BA in Early Childhood Studies and has a true passion for working with children.
Additionally, Aoife is Montessori certified and holds a FETAC Level 5 qualification.
She’s also trained in pediatric first aid, ensuring the utmost care for every child.
When she’s not caring for little ones, Aoife loves to travel, explore new countries, and unwind with a good book.

Shannon Lewis
Shannon holds a Level 8 First Class Honor's degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and a First Class Honor's degree in Leadership for Inclusion, both from Mary Immaculate College.
With previous experience in creches, preschool, and toddlers, Shannon has also taken on room leader roles. She brings over 10 years of babysitting experience, with a deep passion for working with children, especially inspired by her two young brothers, both of whom have ASD.
Shannon is currently a home tuition tutor for children with ASD and is dedicated to all things inclusion and additional needs. She is also pursuing a master’s in Primary Teaching to further expand her expertise.
Meet our team

Kathryn Martin
Kathryn has 8 and a half year experience working with children and adults with ASD and Intellectual disabilities.
She is also a swim teacher for children and has been with Auntie Katie's since January.
Kathryn is first aid trained and has completed Lámh level 1.
In her spare time Kathryn loves to care for her many animals and travel.

Laura Smyth
Laura is from Co. Galway and has over 10 years experience working in a creche with various age groups from 6 months to 12 years old.
She holds both Level 5 and 6 certifications in childcare.
Laura also has first aid training, a Level 1 Lamh certification.

Rachel Walsh
Rachel has over 18 years of childcare experience from newborn to 12 years old. Rachel has gone from babysitting to working in creches to private nanny and currently a full time childminder. Rachel has travelled and worked in Australia, London as well as at home in Ireland.
Rachel is a mum of two - a 6 year old and a 3 year old.
Rachel is a qualified SNA, is pediatric first aid trained and children's first certified.

Aisling Evans
Aisling, based in Waterford, has extensive experience and a wealth of qualifications in childcare.
She holds both Level 5 and Level 6 certifications in childcare, along with a 1st Class Honors degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Aisling is first aid trained and also holds a Level 1 Lamh certification, ensuring she’s fully equipped to care for children.
In addition to her work in a creche, Aisling is passionate about supporting parents through her role in Meitheal.

Therese Quinn
Therese holds a Level 7 degree in Social Care, along with Level 5 qualifications in Childcare and Healthcare. She also holds a certificate in Caring for Children with Special Needs and is recently certified in First Aid Responder (FAR) training.
With nearly 30 years of experience caring for children, Therese brings a deep well of knowledge, compassion, and hands-on expertise to her work. As a mother of two girls, she understands the needs of children and families on a personal level.
Therese currently owns and manages a before and after school service based in her local national school, where she is known for creating a warm, supportive, and structured environment for the children in her care.

Carol-anne Canning
Carol--anne has over 15 years of experience working with children in a wide range of settings, including babysitting, wedding childcare, coaching, and as a summer camp director. She holds Level 5 and Level 6 qualifications in Childcare and is also a qualified Special Needs Assistant (SNA).
Carol-anne recently launched a "Parent and Me" GAA class for children aged 18 months and up, combining her love for sport with her passion for early childhood development. She also spent two years in the United States, where she coached children from the age of four and gained valuable international experience.
In her spare time, Carol-anne plays camogie and Gaelic football, enjoys the outdoors, and loves to travel.

Siobhan Shinnick
Siobhán holds a Level 8 qualification in Primary Education and Psychology. She has completed accredited training in Lámh, First Aid, and Children First, equipping her with key skills to support children's development and safety.
Siobhán brings a wide range of experience to her role, having worked as a Special Needs Assistant (SNA), primary school teacher, and babysitter. She is currently working in a naíonra.
Outside of work, Siobhán enjoys traveling, reading, and sea swimming, and brings her calm and curious nature into everything she does.
